Our Story
Rio Bravo Project began in 2021 with a simple conviction: the mats can be a mission field.
What started as a small investment in young people through Jiu-Jitsu grew into a focused effort to mentor, disciple, and develop the next generation. From the beginning, our desire has been clear — use training as a tool to build character and point students to Christ. We are now doing that with over 100 children and teens in Anapra, Mexico.
What We Do
Through Jiu-Jitsu, students learn discipline, resilience, humility, and perseverance. They learn how to handle pressure. They learn how to get back up when they fall. They learn that progress takes consistency.
But we are not just developing athletes.
We are developing young men and women of character — leaders who are strong in body, disciplined in mind, and grounded in faith.
Rooted in the Local Church
Rio Bravo Project is designed to support — not replace — the local church. We intentionally connect students and families to healthy churches because lasting transformation happens in Christ-centered community.
The mats are a starting point. The goal is lifelong faith, leadership, and service.
